Feeling overwhelmed by paperwork or responsibilities? You’re not alone.
Next Steps is a calm, practical support space where you can bring the things that feel stuck — and get help moving things forward, one step at a time.
This is not therapy. It’s not formal case advocacy.
It’s steady, side-by-side support.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming.

FAQ
Is this free?
£5 per visit
There is a £5 charge per visit, which goes directly towards running and sustaining the service.
We recognise that circumstances vary, so if this isn’t affordable for you, please don’t worry — no one will be turned away due to cost.
How long are sessions?
Sessions typically run for around 2–3 hours in total.
During that time, support is offered in short, focused slots — usually 10–30 minutes per person — depending on what help is needed.
We always work at a pace that feels manageable. There may be moments where we set you up with something to work on while we support someone else, and then return to you — so everyone gets the time they need.
You’re welcome to take breaks at any time.
Can I come even if I’m not sure what I need?
Yes. “Not knowing where to start” is a valid starting point.
What should I bring?
You’re welcome to bring letters, forms, login details, or anything you’d like help with.
Do I have to talk about personal details?
Only what’s needed for the task in front of you. We go at your pace.
Do you accept referrals?
Yes — referrals are welcomed from GPs, social prescribers, and support organisations.
Is this advocacy or casework?
Next Steps offers practical, task-based support rather than formal case advocacy. If specialist advocacy is needed, we can help signpost or explore appropriate pathways.
Need advocacy or ongoing support?
If you feel you may need more in-depth advocacy, case support, or life navigation support beyond practical sessions, you’re welcome to explore our main referral pathways below:
→ Advocacy Bridge Referral Page
→ Professional / Partner Referrals
Or contact us directly and we’ll help guide you to the right starting point.
